Pre Care

  • Stop using any skin thinners (Vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation) on the brow area 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • If you tint your brows, tint it at least one week prior to the procedure.

  • Cosmetic botox or fillers should be done 2 weeks prior or 2 weeks after.

  • Any waxing or brow shaping should be done at least 2 days before.

  • DO NOT consume alcohol, caffeine or take any blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin 12 hours before your procedure, this will cause excess bleeding and may affect your results).

  • We will not be able to tattoo over any blemishes, sores, and moles in or around the brow area.

After Care

POST APPOINTMENT (1-10 DAYS)

After care is crucial, it is very important to follow these instructions for the full 10 day healing period to ensure proper healing and colour retention. Results will vary for all individuals and we can not guarantee your results.

Immediately after your appointment you will need to pat the brows with some clean paper towel to soak up any lymph fluid that will start to appear once the numbing fully wears off.

Every morning and night you will then use your aftercare products for 10 days after your procedure, this will involve cleaning your brows in the sink (not the shower) with Cosmetic Ink Soap and then applying a rice grain amount of your healing balm to both brows using a clean finger or Q-tip, you do not want any build up of balm so an almost translucent layer is best.

Your brows will feel tight especially when they are healing in the first couple of days, if you feel tightness you may use the balm during the day to relieve this, do not use the balm more than 3 times a day.

You will not be able to get your brows wet in the shower for the first 3-4 days so please come to your appointment prepared for this, we advise to wash your hair the morning of your appointment so that this is not an issue.

WHAT TO EXPECT

DO NOT expect your brow tattoos to heal perfectly after the first session. This is a 2 step sometimes multiple step process. BE PATIENT during your 2 week healing process, your brows will change and appear different from day to day. THIS IS NORMAL. Immediately after your procedure your brows will appear darker and more defined and this will last up to 2 weeks. Your brow tattoo can appear more solid, hair strokes may seem to disappear and it may look wet and painted on. THIS IS NORMAL, be patient with the process.

Around days 4-9 you will experience scabbing and your brows may look dry and flaky. DO NOT PICK your scabs, let them fall off naturally. If scabbing comes off prematurely, missing hair strokes will result and cause patchy brows. Your brow tattoo will take up to 4-6 weeks to fully heal. When the scabbing comes off the hair strokes may seem faint, this is because a fresh layer of skin has healed over the brow tattoo. Give your brows a few weeks and the hair strokes should resurface.

You may experience itchiness in the brows after 10 days and up to 2 months because of the healing of the epidermal layer.

Not everyone's brows can heal clean and crisp.

Hair strokes for oiler skin types tend to heal more solid and powdery while drier skin types tend to heal more crisp and defined.
